- Power of the Mind -

Never underestimate the power of the mind. This is especially true from what I have learnt through sports. Being in the analytics program, I have also experienced that humans without a doubt, can achieve the unimaginable. Negative collective term could be anomaly while positive collective term could be outstanding. Whatever form the outlier, we are far greater and unimaginable than we think we know.

This is like, when marathon runners are no longer challenging the physical but through the mind. Perfect example of how the body will not live without the soul. The concept still intrigues and amazes me since I was introduced by the movie 'Matrix'.

Now, having been through bad experiences in past relationships, I think it is vital to isolate problems and not accumulate them. Once you are unable to compartmentalize, nothing can help you except yourself.

Take for example the case of infidelity. When one party cheats, no matter the reason (be it singly/jointly caused) the damage is done. If neither can learn and forget the issue, it is always going to be a hindrance to the relationship. It will slow the progress of bringing the relationship to the next level.

To illustrate, the one being cheated on becomes an annoying, highly insecure/suspicious person and will look for negative things. This is when they say 'You will always find what you are looking for'. A vicious cycle will start where friction will repel the 2 parties, causing irreconcilable drift.

This is not to say we blind ourselves by deceiving ourselves. The mind and the heart ultimately combines forces or the divergence will drive insanity. Why do we then, put ourselves through some pain? At some point in my life, I couldn't understand. Looking from an outsider's standpoint now, I still don't.

So, there is one thing then, that I have learnt and understood - On why, people pray (though I am still incessant that 'A Helping Hand is better than a thousand in prayers').

You see, praying is an echo of your most desperate desires. You are expecting something, something positive, a happy outcome. It can simply mean you are wishing (if you find praying too fanatical/religious for you). This positive thought attracts positivity. When you are looking out for your prayers/wishes, you subconsciously look out for it. Often, when it happens, you feel attended to (or like commonly known as prayers answered), you feel that your thoughts are realised.

To put simply, a matter of will. I pray that my friend will find that switch for this will for a happy decision and put a stop to her unnecessary prolonged pain.

In the end, to join me looking back at how silly it was when the solution is mere simplicity.

You just need that one move to change.
